Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
– Collaborate with the security team to monitor and analyze security incidents.
– Assist in implementing security measures and protocols to protect systems and data.
– Help in performing security assessments and audits on systems and networks.
– Assist in investigating security breaches or incidents and providing incident response.
– Contribute to creating and updating security documentation and procedures.
– Support in evaluating and recommending security tools and technologies.
Requirements:
– Pursuing a degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
– Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and concepts.
– Familiarity with security tools and technologies.
– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Previous exposure to cybersecurity practices through coursework, projects, or internships.
– Understanding of networking and operating systems.
– Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
– Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.
– Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or related certifications can be advantageous.
