1. Work as a part of the team, producing high-quality crops using the hydroponic system
2. Work on certain tasks (unsupervised at times), take an active part in team meetings, organize their own work, and provide feedback on the day-to-day progress
3. Assist team leaders with the specific protocols for the variety of agriculture crops and cycles of the NFT system
4. Undertake general crop care to defined standards; This includes watering, potting, monitoring and treating for pests and diseases, transplanting, pruning, and deadheading
5. Carry out hygienic practices for plant culture, tools, and equipment while maintaining sterilized conditions in the lab (ex: discarding plant cultures infected by fungus or bacteria)
6. Work on post-harvest duties like sorting, grading, cleaning of vegetables, labeling, and packing
7. Work on other duties as required including general administration, ordering consumables & inventory management
8. Work on occasionally photographing & documenting plants for data records

Training will be provided where necessary

Requirements (must have)

1. Experience & knowledge in agriculture or related fields like plant science, horticulture, greenhouse management, gardening
2. Passionate about working towards sustainable agriculture
3. Good communication and organizational skills
4. Willing to work on weekends when required
5. Proficiency in MS Office programs especially in Excel
6. Flexibility – able to work alone as well as working effectively as a part of a small team
7. Good team player with positive attitude
8. Accuracy and attention to detail
9. A proactive approach to learning

3. Working Conditions:

1. Primarily based in an indoor vertical hydroponic farm, working in cold conditions.
2. Workload during harvest is more.
3. Physical demanding work – constant physical activity – walking, standing, bending, manual handling of items up to 10 kgs
